Homework: Art 21

I chose the Fantasy category and in the search engine five videos came up. I picked this one because it looked interesting. This artist, Jeff Koons, does large-scale paintings and sculptures that are colorful, fantastical, and make a real statement. He has a huge studio with loads of people that execute his crazy ideas, which helps to make sure that everything is done properly. For example, when paint colors are mixed, the color is shown to several different people that must agree that it's the right color before it hits the canvas.
Koons definitely has an interesting style. One of the coolest sculptures I saw in the video was the bottom half of a pink metallic egg next to its lid, and the inside was reflective. Another one I saw was a tall bear holding a scared policeman's whistle. The paintings have a very pop art feel to them, even though they're a bit more modernized. His work is light and heavy at the same time, like a big shaped balloon you'd see in a funhouse. He even had a show in Versailles of all his whacky stuff.
